Coming at you straight from the Aputure Studio…

Halo was announced recently, and we’ve just completed the introductory video.

It was a pleasure to work with Elva making the video – it was a her first time modeling.

Anyways, without further adieu, here’s the video…

And a few screen grabs from the video…

Does this fit the new Sony Alpha mirrorless cameras?

Sorry, we only make models for Canon and Nikon. But you can find Sony models from other brands.

May I know how big is the inner dimension of the ring flash? I have 72 and 77mm lens, I know your ring flash comes with adapter. i want to make sure it does not show a ghost/light ring when I’m using it like some other brands.

    Thanks.

I am a Sony DSLR user. I do like the product, Aputure Amaran Halo LED ring flash, which developed and made by your company. It is really an excellent device designed for both flash and continuous light usages.

Canon system has been made following the Nikon system. It is a pity for Sony user who cannot enjoy the smart ring flash light. I wish the model for Sony system will be made and released in the future.

    Thanks

Hi K-T, no ringflash for Sony yet, BUT…we are working on it. Stay tuned for a release date!

I have a Canon 5DMII, is your system compatible? what are the sizes of the filters for the front lens mount? will it work with a fish eye (14mm)

  • http://www.aputure.com/blog The A-Team

Yes it will work with a fisheye. We include lens adapters from 49mm up to 77mm.

  • http://www.aputure.com/blog nooch

i meant will the lens adapter mount onto a canon 15mm fish eye so that the ring flash can be used from the front rather than on the horseshoe

  • http://www.aputure.com/blog nooch

also are there diffusers for the ring, have seen that you have for the other models

  • http://www.aputure.com/blog The A-Team

Nooch, there is no thread on the Canon 15mm fisheye, so its impossible to mount a lens adapter, however you might be able to DIY. And no there are no diffusers included.

Hi, I have a SONY Alpha 99. I saw the comment above that the ringflash will be released at a future date for sony. Is there an approximate date? Or if not, can I subscribe to some sort of mailing list for when it is made available?

  • http://www.aputure.com/blog/feed/ The A-Team

Hi Graham, sorry we don’t have any exact release date, nor a mailing list. If you subscribe to our blog (http://www.aputure.com/blog/feed/), we will release the information there in the future.
